Gateway turns the observer into the subject of the work, with the intention being to encourage consideration of one’s relationship with elements of community and civic life suggested in the simple line engravings which clad the columns.
All the engravings are based on images originated in casting workshops undertaken with the Castlemilk Girls Group and Class 7 of St. Bartholemews Primary School.
